Dog aide

2 months ago 28th Jun 13:15

A dog has become a local celebrity in a Chinese town after showing off his skill at pushing wheelchairs.

Two-year-old Guai Guai runs underneath the wheelchair, pushing the foot rests with his front legs. Because he is so small and fast, passers-by assume the chair is motorised.

His owner, Ms Wang of Zhengzhou, says he learnt to push her father's wheelchair when he was a puppy. She said: "When I pushed my father on a walk, Guai Guai would also be under the seat, two forelegs on the steps, walking with only the hind legs.

"He couldn't keep up when he was young and always stumbled. But when we took him out, he would run back again under the seat."

Gradually Guai Guai learnt to push the wheelchair himself.
