Drugs saver

2 months ago 23rd Aug 13:15

A US man says the only reason he grew marijuana was because he couldn't afford to buy it.

John Daniel Miller III, 50, cultivated an estimated $100,000 worth of the plant in Texas because he claimed the cost of buying the illegal drug had gone up too much for him.

Sheriffs raided Miller's property after a tip off, and found plants lined up on the driveway. They discovered a further 70 at the back of the premises. He claimed his huge haul of plants was all for personal use.

Miller said he knew the police were coming "sooner or later" but felt he had no choice other than to start growing the drugs after its price from dealers had increased by so much.
