Nothing wrong with your children sleeping nude. I was in a similar situation with you, except my wife passed away. when my daughter around 10, we did not have much money because at the time i did not have a good job. we had fan going in most of the rooms but that can only do so much. she complained a lot about the heat and i always tried to come up with ways to help her like getting her a fan in her room or having a glass of ice water next to her bed. well when i finally ran out of ideas i thought i might as well suggest something new. so when i was getting her ready for bed i told her of a new idea to help her fight the heat. i asked her if she would like to sleep in nothing but her panties. it does work since i sleep in nothing but boxers. she was really desperite for ideas to fight the heat so she went along with it. well later that night i went in to check on her and i saw that i gave her a good idea because she even had her panties on the floor next to her bed. I figured she really liked sleeping nude because she even sleeps that way when it is cold out. I just put extra blackets on her bed. it was a little akward when she came to sleep in my bed though, but she is my daughter and i am not a pervert so i just got used to it. she is now 15 and I can afford AC and she still sleeps like that. we are really comfortable with nudity around each other now. we have no problem walking around nude in front of eachother. in fact, before we go to bed we like to watch leno. seince we go to bed after that we just dress for bed. but for me that is my boxers and for her it is her birthday suit. there is nothing wrong with letting your child sleep nude. like my daughter your kids might like it.

I'm sorry maybe I misunderstood but are you saying you watch TV with your 15 year old daughter naked?
Because if that is the case in it crosses the line into unacceptable in my opinion. A child is unsexual and innocent but a 15 year girl is a sexually mature woman and even though she is your daughter I think that is taking it too far and into the unacceptable.

Because your her father and your daughter is not a unsexual child anymore.
I'm not a prude and i've breastfeed my daughter and gotten changed in front of dad before now. Although i've never had a problem with casual nudity I think its taking familiarity too far to watch tellie with just the 2 of you alone in the house with your naked adult daughter is all.

I saw this discussion group, and thought it was an interesting topic.

I don't see anything wrong with children, or adults for that matter sleeping nude. I do it myself. The way I see it, we have the bed sheets for "clothes", to keep us from being cold, etc, so why should we need clothes under them, unless it is very cold in the room.

It could actually be healthy to go without your clothes for some time, I don't know. Although I have never heard anything about this supporting this theory, it may be possible that it is best to not to wear clothes for some time, to allow your body to "ventilate" and get fresh air.

Nudity itself should NOT be something that is seen as "sexual." People have just made it that way over a period of time. In families who are free with nudity in the home, the children grow up seeing nudity as something that is non-sexual, and not related to sexual activity. We do know that it is possible to have sex with clothes ON, don't we? So, why does nudity have to mean "sexual", even though it is only our natural appearance?

Like I said (if you read my post properly) I have no issues with nudity and children. And like I said previously I breastfeed my daughter and got changed, sunbathed topless ect in front of my family and that included my father.
I have also said that I don't know what strikes me wrong about this situation but it just does.
I suppose that its because its just the 2 of them in the house on their own and what would be acceptable in a family consisting of two adults isn't so acceptable when its only the two of them in the house and although I agree its unfair because I wouldn't have the same view if it was a mother and daughter in the house alone it isn't its a father and daughter so I feel differently rightly or wrongly. And the fact that he mentioned her joining him in his bed at night naked strikes me as creepy and probably contributed as to why this struck me as crossing the line.
Casual nudity is one thing, a father lounging around naked in the house alone with your adult nude daughter watching tellie is something completely different.
Not everybody who doesn't agree with fathers cozing up to their naked teenage daughters to spend quality time one their own needs to grow up love.
You need to realize people have different opinions when it comes to naturism and just except it.
I also notice that he isn't naked when spending time with her. Because it might make him feel slightly uncomfortable perhaps.

If you're not a naturist/nudist, then you sure have broke the rules of normal societies by going naked & close to your kids at home.

No matter how hot it is, at least put on the shear/thin underwears! if not, strip that skin of yours off your body too.

i agree with dipsy - sleeping in be dnude is one thing, walking round the house completely buff is another - if my kids walk in bathroom while im in bath i wouldnt bother but no way would i stroll around in the never never lols - my sons would freak pmsl. Its about respect for yourself and each other.

Coming from a relatively long line of nude-sleepers, I couldn't agree more. My parents, and one set of grandparents, always retired to bed in their birthday suits, and my sister and I were actively encouraged to do the same from a very early age. Not that we needed much encouragement - what 3-year-old would willingly pass up the chance to legitimately spend nearly half of their life without any clothes on! My husband was a little slow in aquiring the nude sleeping habit - he was nearly into his teens before his PJs finally went to the "great pyjama-case in the sky", again with parental encouragement. By the time our own three children were reliably dry at night, they were well aware that Mummy and Daddy never wore any clothes in bed, and we let them know that they were now big enough to sleep with nothing on, just like us, if they wanted to. Needless to say, all three wanted to!

As far as I am concerned, there is nothing at all wrong with children sleeping in the nude, and plenty of health reasons for encouraging it (airing the body etc.). As children, my brothers and I never had "proper" nightclothes. Our parents habitually slept in the nude, we were expected to do likewise, and it just seemed the normal thing to do. As far as my husband and I are concerned, it still is! Neither of us possesses a single item of "proper" nightwear, nor do our children, who have all slept in their birthday suits since they were reliably dry at night. I don't think I have ever heard any one of them express any wish to wear clothes in bed, and s(he) wouldn't get much sympathy from the others if s(he) did. Sleeping nude is "cool", and nightclothes are for wimps.

Well, we've all got dressing-gowns, plus some house-rules that say that they MUST be worn in the living rooms (i.e. downstairs) and ought to be worn when going between bedroom and bathroom. As for hospital, we'll face that one when it arises, but my guess is that hospitals provide PJs or gowns anyway.
