Sweet Mini Chariot.

MINI's rsock solid desirablity increased seven fold this week after a special red Mini Cooper was sold at auction for a staggering £90'000. That's over seven times it's list price!

The event was to commemorate Englands Rugby world cup victory and was attended by the England rugby squad.

Over 20 England rugby players, past and present signed the St Geroges flag roof, Contributing in some way to it's increased value. The signatures are portected from the elements and the odd carwash by a clear laquer and the car's residual value is expected to remain intact.

The event was organised by by ex-England players Kyran Bracken and Paul Grayson to raise funds for their chosen charities and testimonial season.
The two charities which will benefit from the £200'000 raised by the auction are The Wooden Spoon Wooden Spoon Society, rugby’s own charity that supports disadvantaged children and the Saints Benevolent Fund. The Mini was the Highest bid of the day.

The proud new owner of the Mini is a supporter of Northampton Saints Rugby team where Paul Grayson has recently taken on the role of Coach after playing for the club for many years.

MINI dealership Specialist Cars Ltd in Stevenage provided the MINI. Dealer Principal, Clive Fletcher, said: "We have had a relationship with Kyran’s club, Saracens, for over 10 years and were pleased to be able to help with his fund-raising. Equally, it was great to have a MINI celebration of England’s superb performance in winning the World Cup."
