Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are set for one-off TV show.

'The Speidi Story' will be a one-hour special which will air in the UK on Channel 5 later this month, documenting the couple's rise since their time on 'The Hills', and their recent spell on 'Celebrity Big Brother'.

A spokesman for the show said: "Speidi have gone from being America's most loathed couple to a new UK phenomenon, thanks to Celeb Big Brother. This is their story."

Heidi, 26, and Spencer, 29, were runners-up on the recent series of the reality show.

Love for the married couple isn't universal though, as 15 security guards were set to protect them this morning (02.02.13) as they arrived in London to meet some of their fans.

Twitter has seen fanatics professing their love and death threats from the "haters", but the controversial couple wanted everyone to come down to meet them.

They tweeted: "Come and meet the King and Queen of Reality TV. See you there.

"To all the lovers and haters in Britain, come and see the real Speidi before we head back to the USA.

"We've been reading all yours Tweets about us. So now come and tell us in the flesh. Ha ha ha! (sic)"
