Amanda Holden thinks Simon Cowell needs to return to 'The X Factor'.
The TV presenter - who stars alongside Simon on the judging panel for 'Britain's Got Talent' - says the music mogul should come to the rescue of the ITV1 singing show, after disappointing ratings this year.
She said: "If he's got any sense he'll get on his white horse and he'll come charging back next year and save it."
Saturday night's (10.11.12) show pulled in an average of just 8.4million viewers, while the same show last year had 12.28million.
Amanda is not the only person who thinks Simon - who quit to concentrate on the US version - should return as current judge Louis Walsh is also championing for his return.
Louis - who sits on the panel with Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa Contostavlos - said: "If Simon did come back, he'd have the number one show. That's the thing about Simon - he always wants to be number one.
"We need him in the building, he's always fun, he keeps everybody on their toes."
