Melanie Masson has been voted off 'The X Factor'.
The 44-year-old singer was sent home following a sing-off against District 3 which saw the judges send the vote to deadlock.
Despite her disappointment, Melanie put on a brave face as she thanked her mentor Gary Barlow and the show's crew.
She added: "I've absolutely enjoyed every single second of being here. It's just been the best experience and I've loved every minute of it."
Gary said he was "gutted" for the singer.
He said: "For me Melanie is one of the best singers in the competition. I'm absolutely gutted for you."
The Take That star later admitted he was stunned by the result.
Speaking on 'The Xtra Factor' he said: "Well tonight was an absolute... I couldn't believe it. Melanie's had a great week. I'm just really disappointed for her. I'm so sad to see her go so early. This competition never fails to shock me.
"I thought she was the safest act this weekend."
First of the judges to vote after the sing-off which saw Melanie perform 'Stay With Me Baby' by Duffy and District 3 sing Bryan Adams' '(Everything I Do) I Do It for You' was Louis, who opted to save his own act.
Tulisa Contostavlos also saved the band, Gary backed his own singer, and Nicole Scherzinger also chose Melanie following much deliberation.
