Nicole Scherzinger is still waiting to receive a thank you gift from One Direction after she initially suggested they form a band.
The former Pussycat Dolls singer proposed that the now-successful boy band - made up of Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Niall Horan - should form a group when they were solo wannabes on 'The X Factor' two years ago and she is still holding out for some acknowledgement.
She quipped: "Those little buggers, I haven't even received any flowers yet from them. I'm waiting! It's crazy to see how massive they are, I can't believe they just performed at the Olympics. It just feels like yesterday that we were on the show."
Since being confirmed as Kelly Rowland's permanent replacement on the 'X Factor' panel - which also features Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos - for the forthcoming season, Nicole has settled in well to her role by bonding with her fellow pannelists, and she was delighted to work with Louis again.
Speaking at the 'X Factor' Launch in London yesterday (15.08.12), she added to BANG Showbiz: "I've always had an affinity for Louis because he was the first one there when I came into the whole family.
"Gary is lovely, he's such a lovely human but ever since he got Celebrity Dad of the Year he's got a special place in my heart as well. Me and Tulisa also get on really, really well - I really adore her."
'The X Factor' begins on Saturday (18.08.12) at 8pm on ITV1.
