There are a variety of ways to be ethcial.
1. Have a look in the charity shops around you. If you are planning well ahead of time you could always ask the shop assistants to keep an eye out for any wedding dresses they receive and they may be able to give you a call.
2. With the help of a good local dressmaker you can always modify any "find" from a charity shop or specialist vintage clothes shops or have a dress made to measure just for you.
3.Why not ask members of your family if they have kept their wedding dresses. I know I have kept mine and whilst my daughter may not want to wear it , her daughter might take a liking to it! My great grandmother's dress was too much of a challenge for me- beautiful as it was- with only an 18 inch waist!
4. After you have worn the dress you may want to consider giving it ot a charity shop or selling it , or holding on to it as an heirloom for your future family.
